World Kidney Day: Free Check-Ups at Il Leone in Lonato On the occasion of World Kidney Day, which will take place on March 13, the Nephrology and Dialysis Unit of ASST del Garda will offer free kidney health check-ups at the Il Leone shopping center in Lonato. From 9 AM to 5 PM, a team of nephrologists and nurses will be available to conduct blood pressure measurements, urine tests, and brief nephrological assessments. Informational materials will be distributed during the event, and participants with positive results will be invited for further check-ups.
Ester Mariagrazia Costantino, director of the Complex Structure of Nephrology and Dialysis at ASST Garda, highlighted that approximately 10% of the population suffers from kidney diseases without showing obvious symptoms. For this reason, promoting prevention is essential. Angela Berto, Director of the Il Leone Shopping Center, expressed satisfaction with the initiative, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about kidney health in the community.
