The 75th Centomiglia del Garda, scheduled for September 6 and 7, is gearing up to celebrate an important milestone in the sailing regatta on Lake Garda, organized by the Circolo Vela Gargnano. This event, which began in 1951, is the longest-running offshore regatta in inland waters and continues to attract internationally renowned sailors. This year, the event presents a new vision aimed at making the competition more inclusive and representative of the entire Garda area.
The regatta will consist of two races: the Trofeo Gargnano on September 6, starting from Bogliaco and finishing after a course towards Desenzano, and the Trofeo Gorla on September 7, which features a similar route but includes stops at Limone and Torbole. The rankings will be determined based on various criteria, including awards for the first finishers in real time and an overall ORC ranking that combines the points from both races to declare the winner of the Centomiglia. Specific prizes are also planned for different classes and double-handed crews, reaffirming the intent to engage all enthusiasts in navigating the lake.
