The Vittoriale degli Italiani, a cultural hub in Gardone Riviera and a symbol of Gabriele d’Annunzio‘s legacy, recently hosted an innovative event that bridges the past and the future. At the Auditorium of this historic site, a short film created by students from the Istituto Comprensivo 4 of Pescara was presented for the competition “The Beauty of Reading: Read, Read, Read!”, organized by the Fondazione Il Vittoriale in collaboration with the local education office of Brescia and Garda Musei Scuole. D’Annunzio’s figure is reinterpreted as a modern social media influencer, ready to engage with Generation Alpha through posts and youthful language, embodying the profile “Gabri_Dannu1863” on Instagram.
This initiative highlights the role of the Vittoriale not only as a site of memory but also as a space for educational and cultural experimentation. The students had the opportunity to visit the park and museums, culminating in a meeting with Giordano Bruno Guerri, president of the Foundation. This project underscores the synergy between education and the enhancement of Brescia’s cultural heritage, in preparation for the Dannunziano Festival scheduled for September in Pescara. The event demonstrates that the Vittoriale continues to be a hotbed of ideas, making d’Annunzio a relevant interlocutor for new generations.
