Salò: 2-Year-Old Child Hospitalized After Sudden Illness at Swimming Pool On the afternoon of Saturday, June 7, moments of fear unfolded at the municipal swimming pool in Salò, where a 2-year-old boy suffered a serious medical emergency while with his mother. Around 4:30 PM, the child collapsed to the ground, prompting his mother to immediately call for help. An ambulance from the Volontari del Garda and a medical car arrived on the scene, but the child’s condition appeared critical as he was unresponsive.
The medical team intubated the boy, and given the severity of the situation, they requested the intervention of an air ambulance from Milan. The landing was organized at the “Lino Turina” stadium, from where the child was transported to the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, which specializes in pediatric emergencies, where he was admitted in critical condition.
