An important round table took place on Wednesday, June 11, in Desenzano del Garda to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Agrigelateria Sull’Aia, located at Corte Fenilazzo, a sustainable agriturismo that serves as a model for the production of agricultural ice cream. The event was attended by local and regional authorities, industry experts, and communication representatives, all gathered to discuss the value and future of the short supply chain in the agri-food sector. During the meeting, the significance of agricultural ice cream as an authentic, zero-kilometer product was emphasized, with the aim of establishing a national standard to safeguard its quality and origin.
Corte Fenilazzo stands out for its ability to integrate agricultural production with rural hospitality, using milk from its own cows to create not only ice cream but also fresh and aged cheeses. The conference highlighted how this model can serve as a replicable example of innovative agriculture and gastronomic tourism. At the end of the event, participants celebrated with a toast and a cake, concluding a day dedicated to the excellence of local products and the promotion of the territory through sustainable practices.
