A fatal road accident occurred last night in Malcesine, on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda. Around midnight, a BMW carrying four young people veered off the road on the Gardesana, near Navene, crashing into the guardrail. In the impact, an 18-year-old local boy lost his life, while another young man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Peschiera Hospital for necessary treatment.
Emergency services responded promptly, with the Suem 118 health operators dispatching a medical vehicle, two ambulances, and a helicopter. Firefighters and carabinieri from the Caprino Veronese mobile unit, along with those from the Malcesine company, also arrived at the scene to manage the situation and initiate investigations into the incident.
