Castiglione delle Stiviere is preparing to experience a summer filled with melodies and cultural initiatives through the “CastiglionEstate” festival, an event that promises to be a focal point for entertainment in the town as well as for the lower Lago di Garda area. This event, designed to enliven the period from June to the end of August, will transform the town center into an open-air stage, offering a wide range of musical and artistic expressions. The initiative, aimed at reconnecting citizens with public spaces through music, seeks to rediscover the role of these places as centers of gathering and social interaction.
The Event Calendar
The “CastiglionEstate” program is structured with numerous events spread across the most evocative locations in the historic center. These include the Cathedral of Saints Nazarius and Celsus, the courtyard of Palazzo Pastore, Parco Desenzani, and Piazza Ugo Dallò, creating a cultural path that unites history, art, and landscape. The inauguration is set for Sunday, June 29, at 9:00 PM with the “Concerto D’Aranjuez.” The following weeks will feature a succession of musical events that will engage the entire community.
The festival is divided into two main strands: “Sounds from the World,” hosted in the courtyard of the A. Sigurtà Library, and the “Tribute & Cover Band Festival,” which will take place between Parco Desenzani and Piazza Dallò. The councilor for culture, Massimo Lucchetti, emphasized how this initiative represents a well-established summer tradition, with a varied calendar of cultural moments designed to attract not only residents but also an audience from neighboring municipalities, confirming “CastiglionEstate” as a format appreciated beyond the town’s borders.

Among the scheduled events, the concert “Fantasia al chiaro di luna” on Saturday, July 5, stands out, dedicated to the memory of Maestro Antonio Atriano, featuring Giampaolo Stuani on piano.
