Alto Garda and Valle del Chiese: 6 licenses revoked during the June 2nd holiday weekend. During the extended weekend of June 2nd, the Carabinieri Company of Riva del Garda, in collaboration with the Local Police of Alto Garda and Valle del Chiese, conducted a special operation to monitor the area and combat the abuse of alcohol and drugs. On the night between Friday and Saturday, law enforcement checked three public establishments in Valle del Chiese and set up checkpoints along the SS 237 del Caffaro, inspecting 51 vehicles and 83 individuals. Two young men in their twenties were caught driving with a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit, and one tested positive for cannabinoids; both had their licenses revoked.
On the following night, the Carabinieri from the Arco and Dro stations, along with the intermunicipal Local Police, inspected two venues to verify compliance with regulations regarding the serving of alcohol to minors and monitored areas frequented by young people. Tests were conducted on 57 vehicles and 63 individuals; four drivers were found to be under the influence, resulting in license revocations for at least three months. Additionally, fines were issued for violations of “Zero Alcohol” regulations. Control operations will continue over the upcoming weekends in anticipation of the summer tourist season.
