Alto Garda Municipal Police Consortium To Dissolve After Cost Concerns

ALTO GARDA – Dissolution is imminent for the Municipal Police Consortium established among the municipalities of Gardone Riviera, Toscolano Maderno, and Tignale. After months of controversy, mainly due to the rising management costs which did not result in satisfactory improvements in service, the consortium endeavor initiated in ’97 is thus coming to an end.

The decision was made the other evening by the mayors Alessandro Bazzani (Gardone), Paolo Elena (Toscolano), and Manlio Bonincontri (Tignale). The execution of supra-municipal activities typical of the Consortium will nonetheless be guaranteed through the signing of specific agreements.
