The new hospital information system (SIO) will be operational starting tomorrow, November 25, at the emergency department of the Arco hospital, marking an important step in the process of digitizing healthcare in Trentino. This update follows the implementations already carried out in the hospitals of Rovereto, Trento, Tione, Borgo Valsugana, and Cles, and is part of a project funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr), aimed at modernizing provincial healthcare services. To ensure a smooth transition to the new system, a working group has been established, consisting of doctors and nurses from the Medical Directorate of Arco, along with technicians from the supplying company. Although measures have been taken to minimize disruptions, it is advised that there may be delays in managing less urgent cases during the initial phases. Therefore, citizens with non-urgent issues are encouraged to contact their general practitioner or pediatrician during nighttime hours, reaching out to the continuity of care physicians.
