Salò is preparing to honor the renowned organist and composer Marco Enrico Bossi with a special concert that will take place on Friday, December 5th at 8:30 PM in the city’s Cathedral. This free event celebrates the centenary of Bossi’s passing, which occurred on February 20, 1925, during an Atlantic crossing. On this occasion, the Brescia Chamber Orchestra “Filippo Lama” will perform a selection of works by the great musician from Salò, who was a true international star from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. The concert is part of the “Marco Enrico Bossi” Festival, an initiative that is traveling through various Italian cities connected to the life and works of the composer. During the evening, attendees will have the chance to listen to Bossi’s music alongside pieces by W.A. Mozart and F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, thus providing an important opportunity to rediscover the musical legacy of one of the greatest Italian organists of his time in a captivating historical setting.
