Arilicense Seeks Volunteers for Community Support and Public Service

The Municipality is seeking volunteers to be employed in social services and public utility activities. Specifically, it is looking for students and retirees, but also workers and homemakers who are willing to dedicate their free time to support and aid the entire Arilicense community.

In practice, these are people of any age who are still physically able and eager, without adding any responsibilities, to make a tangible contribution not only near schools or in the historic center but also in the outskirts and along the beaches, providing help, safety, and information to visitors and tourists.

Basically, these are well-intentioned individuals to be employed during holidays and various events, supporting the regular public services.

Training and deployment of volunteers

«The role of the municipal administration», specifies mayor Bruno Dalla Pellegrina, «will be to prepare these people with short training courses so that they can be useful on various occasions.

This is a service we intend to start as early as August and September, using around twenty people on a rotating basis or for specific times of the day, who will be assured a particular form of recognition and will be compensated at a voluntary level.»

«It is also our intention», says Bruno Dalla Pellegrina, «to activate the old building located in Lungomincio Bonomi as soon as possible, which is not far from the Serenissima highway exit.

Specifically, we plan to convert it into an information center not only for tourists but also as the headquarters for this specific volunteer service.»
