An arrest for stalking took place in Garda on June 16, when the Carabinieri of Veneto apprehended a 37-year-old Italian man, already known to law enforcement. The man was arrested in the act for violating a restraining order against approaching his ex-girlfriend and a ban on residing in the region, measures imposed by the Judicial Authority of Verona in November 2024. Shortly after 3:00 PM, a patrol of the Carabinieri, while conducting checks in the area, recognized the wanted individual near a public establishment.
Upon seeing the officers, the man attempted to flee but was apprehended after a brief struggle. The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Verona was notified, and the arrested individual was held in security cells pending further actions. On the morning of June 17, the Judge of the Verona Court validated the arrest and ordered house arrest in another region, postponing the trial to July 2025.
