A 46-year-old man from Castel Goffredo has been arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of stalking his ex-partner. The intervention of law enforcement occurred following a detention order issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Mantova, after the man, despite having already been warned by the Police Chief for his harassing behavior, continued to stalk the woman through phone calls, surveillance, and following her. This behavior has had serious repercussions on the victim’s emotional state, forcing her to change her habits out of fear of unwanted encounters.
The unbearable situation prompted the Preliminary Investigating Judge to adopt urgent restrictive measures. After the necessary identification and notification procedures for the arrest, the man was transferred to the Mantova prison, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authority while investigations into the case continue.
