A criminal from Lonato was arrested on Tuesday morning in Brescia following a dramatic chase that involved an off-duty police officer. The officer recognized and intercepted a stolen car from last July, immediately initiating the pursuit while informing the Operations Center of the Police Headquarters. Thanks to the alert, patrol units were able to quickly converge on the area of Via Lupi di Toscana, where the two occupants of the vehicle, a 55-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both with numerous criminal records, were stopped and arrested.
A search of the vehicle revealed a veritable “crime kit,” including a telescopic baton, seven mobile phones, ketamine, burglary tools, and cash presumably derived from illegal activities. Following the evidence gathered, the two were charged with possession of drugs with the intent to distribute and other related offenses. Furthermore, the Police Chief of Brescia issued a directive preventing them from returning to the municipality for four years following their release from custody.
