Artur Vaso wins second place at the National Sommelier Competition

Artur Vaso, a teacher at the Caterina de’ Medici Hotel Institute in Gardone Riviera, has achieved a significant milestone by securing second place in the National Competition for Best Sommelier in Italy, held on November 15, 2025, at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence. A former winner of the title of Best Sommelier in Lombardy in 2017, Vaso has demonstrated remarkable talent, earning recognition and admiration in the industry. Originally from Botticino, he commutes daily to Lake Garda to teach, a role he has held for five years. After an initial year in Gardone Riviera and an experience in Desenzano, Vaso returned to the “garden city” in 2022. With this excellent performance, the teacher aims to fulfill his dream of winning the national title next year.
