A serious incident involving threats to tourists occurred along the lakeside of Desenzano del Garda, where a 31-year-old Moroccan man with a significant criminal history verbally assaulted a group of young foreigners while wielding a knife. The incident took place in recent days and created panic among those present, forcing tourists to flee in fear. The Local Police, promptly alerted by witnesses, intervened quickly, apprehending the assailant and seizing the weapon used.
Following the incident, the Police Chief of Brescia issued a ban for three years from the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda, considering the severity of the behavior and the man’s recidivism. Already subject to restrictive measures in the past, the assailant may face further legal consequences if he violates the imposed ban. Additionally, investigations are underway to assess the revocation of his residence permit, which has not been updated since 2021.
