In recent hours, an incident of violence against a public official occurred in the center of the town, as reported by the Giornale di Brescia. The incident involved an 81-year-old man from Gargnano and a 34-year-old traffic warden, while she was managing traffic at Piazza San Marco. The elderly man, after ignoring the woman’s request to stop and allow vehicles to pass, insulted her and ultimately struck her in the face, causing bruises that required ten days of medical leave.
The officer was assisted on the scene by a second traffic warden who promptly detained the aggressor. Subsequently, the Carabinieri took the 81-year-old to the station where a report was filed for assault on a public official, insult, and personal injury. The man had no prior criminal record at the time of the incident.
