ASST Garda Expands Visitor Health Services in Desenzano

A new project called **“Salute e Turismo”** was presented on **Thursday, 18 June**, in **Desenzano del Garda**. Promoted by **ASST Garda** and **Visit Desenzano**, the initiative aims to integrate healthcare services into the local tourism offer to meet the needs of an increasingly mature visitor population, including **“Dialisi Vacanza”** and other targeted services.

The program expands the existing **Dialysis Vacanza** experience by providing **non-urgent specialist care**, **walk-in blood-draw collection points**, **interpretation services**, and **dedicated digital tools**. ASST Garda’s General Director said the goal is to create a **local healthcare point of reference** near accommodation facilities and reduce inappropriate **Emergency Room** visits, while **Emanuele Bonotto**, president of Visit Desenzano, stressed the need for **public-private cooperation** to ensure qualified healthcare for both tourists and residents.
