A significant event dedicated to the theme of autism is scheduled to take place in Salò on Friday, May 30, 2025. The initiative, promoted by the Lions Clubs of Lake Garda, aims to deepen the understanding and awareness of this complex reality, emphasizing the importance of inclusion. The meeting will be held at the Sala dei Provveditori, located at Lungolago Zanardelli 55, within the municipal headquarters, starting at 5:00 PM.
Title and Purpose of the Meeting
The event, titled “TOGETHER. AUTISM AND ALL OF US“, is accompanied by the subtitle “If you know, you love. If you love, you help better and more,” which underscores its focus on raising awareness and active support.
Opening and Institutional Greetings
The meeting will feature institutional greetings from prominent figures. The Mayor of Salò, Francesco Cagnini, will deliver the city’s welcome. This will be followed by addresses from authorities of Lions International and Anna Maria Chimini, who serves as the National Service Coordinator for 2024/25, titled “Autism and Inclusion, No One Excluded.”
Musical Interlude
A moment dedicated to music therapy is planned, featuring the participation of Maestro Gerardo Chimini and soprano Cristina Klein.
Contributions and Speakers
Several experts will take the floor to explore the many facets of autism. Among the speakers will be General Director Dr. Paolo Zaninetta. For ANFFAS FOBAP, Dr. Silvia Bergamini and Simone Cavalca will speak. A significant contribution will be provided by Father Enzo Turriceni, Director of the S. Maria di Nazareth Institute in Brescia. A specific focus on the role of schools will be presented by teachers from the Enrico Fermi High School in Salò and the E. Medi Institute in Salò, addressing the topic “The School for Autism.”
