Bad weather in Brescia: funds for landslide on SP 9 and affected municipalities

The bad weather has caused significant damage in the municipalities of the province of Brescia, with a landslide occurring on November 2, 2023, on the SP 9 road leading to Valvestino. In response to this emergency, over 16 million euros have been allocated to finance 45 interventions aimed at restoring damaged infrastructure and ensuring public safety. The funds, approved by the National Department of Civil Protection, include specific contributions for the lakeside municipalities of Tremosine, Gargnano, and Valvestino, which have been affected by the severe weather between October and November.

The Regional Councilor for Civil Protection of Lombardy, Romano La Russa, emphasized that these resources provide additional support to the affected areas. The funded interventions aim to assist the population and eliminate hazardous situations, as well as to restore essential public services. Local authorities will be able to account for the expenses incurred starting from July 21, while a comprehensive plan is expected to be developed to reduce residual risk in other provinces such as Bergamo and Lecco.
