Bagoss Cheese Gains Recognition at Lonato Fair Supporting Brescia’s Typical Products
The rise of Bagoss cheese continues in the ranking of typical Brescia products. Even at the recent fair held in Lonato, it was featured at a stand showcasing Italian typical products, set up thanks to the sponsorship of the Ministry of Agricultural Policies.
For some time now, a synergy has been developing around the Bagoss Dop project among companies supporting the initiative of the only Cooperative of Producers of this renowned cheese. The «Valle» cooperative of Bagolino made its public debut at the Lonato fair, in the exhibition pavilion dedicated for the first time to regionally typical products.
Collaborations and Brands
During the event, the pairing with the sparkling wine Berlucchi of Franciacorta was confirmed, a combination established in the previous year’s Gourmet Fair in Turin, also thanks to a meeting promoted by Berlucchi with the international press.
The display prominently featured the brand, created by Grafiche Zorzi of Ponte Caffaro, which features the symbol of the Cooperative Valle, surrounded by logos of institutions supporting the Dop request for Bagoss.
Symbols and Future Perspectives
The footprints drawn beside the shapes of the cheese indicate the upcoming milestone of the official certification, which must be granted by the EEC. The Valle cooperative, which is just over three years old, encompasses almost all producers.
This winter, they began production of the first forms stamped with a cold impression. The production reaches 1,500 quintals.
