A new project aimed at promoting sustainable tourism has been launched at the Palace Hotel San Pietro in Bardolino. This initiative features the app “Punto Zero,” developed by Federalberghi Garda Veneto in collaboration with Garda Green Club, which will enable hotels and accommodation facilities to monitor the environmental impact of their operations. The application will measure key parameters such as CO2 emissions, energy and water consumption, as well as waste management, thus providing a clear overview of the sustainability levels of tourism businesses.
The event was attended by significant local figures, including the Mayor of Bardolino, Daniele Bertasi. The Director of Federalberghi Garda Veneto, Mattia Boschelli, emphasized the importance of sustainability in the contemporary tourism sector, highlighting how crucial it is to attract increasingly eco-friendly-minded customers. With the goal of collecting meaningful data by the end of 2025, the project aims not only to reduce the environmental impact of accommodation facilities but also to ensure a more sustainable future for the entire Lake Garda area.
