Recently, the Hotel Institute of Bardolino hosted an innovative initiative dedicated to the development of human skills in the tourism sector. Approximately ninety students from the fourth-year classes participated in a course titled “Being Human,” organized and funded by Federalberghi Garda Veneto. During this event, students explored themes such as passion, listening, and conflict management through simulations, debates, and theatrical improvisation. The program also includes a three-week internship with local tourism businesses, aimed at preparing future professionals not only from a technical perspective but also in terms of interpersonal relations.
Mattia Boschelli, Director of Federalberghi Garda Veneto, emphasized the importance of a human approach in the hospitality sector, stating that 80% of impressions are related to interpersonal relationships. The initiative aims to train a new generation of workers who are aware of the significance of emotional intelligence and soft skills. The Vice Principal expressed gratitude for the synergy between the school and the community, highlighting the need to prepare young people not only technically but also humanly to face the challenges of today’s job market.
