Bertoncelli and Menozzi Win Isotta Giuseppe “Spadi” Trophy

A sporting fishing event held on Sunday, August 23, on the lake featured the Trofeo Isotta Giuseppe “Spadi” and a remembrance for Giuseppe Isotta. Seventeen teams took part, with a total catch of 7 pike, 35 perch, and one catfish.

Bertoncelli and Menozzi won first place with two pike weighing 9.720 kg and three perch totaling 0.316 kg. De Bortoli and De Beni finished second with two pike for 9.116 kg. Savoia, Marcolini, and Pippa took third place with a 1.916 kg pike, eight perch for 1.072 kg, and a 3.662 kg catfish; Mair and Molignoni were fourth with a 2.486 kg pike and three perch for 0.386 kg, while Lenotti and Tosetti placed fifth with seven perch weighing 0.740 kg.

The event also highlighted the connection between the Bardolino community, the lake, and a long-standing local sporting tradition. The awards were attended by Mayor Daniele Bertasi and councilor Martina Meschieri, responsible for fishing, representing the municipal administration.
