Two men, a twenty-year-old Romanian and a 41-year-old man from Brescia, have been arrested by the Carabinieri in Peschiera del Garda after stealing bicycles worth a total of over €56,000 around Lake Garda. The thefts, which primarily took place in Lazise, were executed systematically and swiftly, culminating in the last incident on June 21 at the local playground.
The investigation began with the immediate arrest of the Brescia man while he was attempting to steal two mountain bikes valued at €7,000. Through the review of surveillance footage and additional witness testimonies, the Carabinieri were able to link the two men to numerous other thefts in the area, consistently employing the same method to carry out their crimes.
