Visit Brescia has launched a new strategy to attract tourists from Brazil, an emerging market with significant potential for local tourism. From October 25 to 29, the Brescia Destination Management Organization hosted ten Brazilian buyers, including tour operators and travel agencies specializing in the luxury segment, for a tour of the city and its province. During this initiative, a B2B workshop was held at the Bottenago Winery in Polpenazze del Garda, where participants had the opportunity to meet twenty-five local sellers. The event aims to promote authentic cultural and nature-related experiences, with the goal of increasing tourist arrivals from the South American region. Eugenio Massetti, president of Visit Brescia, emphasized that Brazil represents a strategic priority in the international tourism landscape. In the past two years, the number of Brazilian tourists visiting Brescia has increased significantly: in 2023, over 11,000 arrivals and more than 26,000 overnight stays were recorded, with growth expected in 2024. The promotional campaign includes targeted digital actions and collaborations with Brazilian influencers to highlight local culture and experiences. Through these initiatives, Visit Brescia aims to strengthen ties with Brazilian travelers and position the city as a captivating and authentic destination within the Italian tourism scene.
