In recent days, the State Police carried out a major operation against Chinese organized crime, coordinated by the Central Operational Service (SCO), which targeted the provinces of Brescia, Verona, and Mantova. This extensive action, described as “high impact,” resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals and the reporting of an additional 31, uncovering a network of Chinese criminal groups operating in Italy. The investigations, conducted by local Mobile Teams with the support of Crime Prevention Departments, revealed illicit activities such as exploitation of prostitution, drug trafficking, and money laundering.
During the operation, over 1,900 individuals were identified and 305 businesses were checked, two of which were seized. Additionally, 550 grams of shaboo and more than €22,000 in cash were confiscated. Furthermore, administrative fines exceeded €73,000. This intervention is part of the national project “Mobile Team,” launched in 2023 to intensify the fight against various forms of crime across Italy.
