The Lombardy Region has recently announced funding for 10 cultural projects in the Brescia area as part of its initiative for educational and cultural promotion. The regional assessor for Culture, Francesca Caruso, highlighted that these interventions, totaling 233,120 euros, range from archaeology to the enhancement of local libraries, involving historic sites such as those in Valtenesi and the Ecomuseum of Botticino. Among the funded projects is a contribution of 17,100 euros for archaeological research in Prevalle and 25,000 euros to transform the “Margherita Biondi” Library in Darfo Boario Terme into a multifunctional cultural hub.
In this context, the initiative is part of the Single Notice Culture 2025, which aims to strengthen accessibility and protect the cultural heritage of the region. In addition to the Brescia projects, other interventions have been funded across Lombardy, with a total investment exceeding 1 million euros allocated to 43 projects. Caruso emphasized the importance of building a network between institutions and local communities to enhance both the tangible and intangible heritage of the region, thereby reaffirming the central role of culture in the identity development of the territories.
