Brescia Prefecture Holds Meeting to Strengthen Checks on Public Venues

The Brescia Prefecture convened a provincial security committee on Monday to enhance inspections and safety assessments of public establishments, following directives inspired by a recent ministerial circular after the Crans-Montana tragedy. The meeting, led by Prefect Andrea Polichetti, involved police, fire brigade, labor inspectors, provincial and municipal representatives, and sector associations.

Participants agreed on implementing targeted, extraordinary inspections across the province to verify venue safety, capacity limits, fire prevention measures, and health regulations. Special focus will be on entertainment venues and private clubs, with commitments from associations to improve staff training and authorities emphasizing compliance with safety standards.
