An incident caused significant disruptions to the Gardesana traffic in Gargnano on Easter Monday. In the early afternoon yesterday, an articulated bus operating on the Brescia-Gargnano route miscalculated its maneuver and became stuck on one of the tightest curves at Piazzale Boldini, completely blocking access to the Strada Statale 45bis Gardesana Occidentale. The situation caught the attention of several Italian and German motorcyclists who, after witnessing the incident, decided to join the locals in an effort to free the vehicle.
Thanks to the collaboration between the motorcyclists and the residents, after about half an hour of efforts, the bus was finally extracted from its precarious position. However, the incident had immediate repercussions on the traffic, which was already congested due to post-Easter returns: cars piled up in long queues in both directions, causing a complete standstill in the area for up to an hour after the vehicle was removed.
