Calcinato and illegal waste disposal plant: risks for public safety

An illegal waste disposal facility has been discovered in Calcinato during a joint operation by law enforcement in the area around the Railway Station. The inspection, part of the national operation “Oro Rosso” aimed at combating copper theft, revealed that the activity was being conducted without the necessary environmental permits and that both the facility and the vehicles used had previously been seized. The two operators, a 63-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man residing in Bedizzole, have been reported for violating seals and environmental crimes. Following these illegal activities, the Chief of Police of Brescia, Paolo Sartori, has issued an Oral Notice of Public Security against them, in accordance with the Anti-Mafia Code.
