The Canottieri Garda Salò achieved an outstanding result at the recent Regional Swimming Championships held in Lodi, winning a total of 12 medals, including 2 golds, 3 silvers, and 6 bronzes. The competitions took place over two weekends, from July 4 to July 6 and from July 10 to July 13. This remarkable outcome has qualified the team for the upcoming Italian Championships, which will be held in August in Chianciano Terme, thanks to the exceptional performances of Beatrice Chiappini, Giovanni Tononi, and Camilla Usardi.
Beatrice Chiappini shone with three qualifications for the Italian Championships, bringing home a silver in the 400 individual medley and two bronzes in the 200 and 400 freestyle events. Camilla Usardi and Giovanni Tononi also showcased their skills with strong performances in their respective categories. Other athletes like Matteo Vimercati and Samuele Ziglioli contributed to the team’s success by adding more medals. Coaches Chiara Chiappini and Maurizio Pompele expressed their satisfaction with the swimmers’ achievements, highlighting the significance of these milestones in preparation for the Italian Championships.
