Carabinieri Impersonators Scam Hotels and Businesses in Garda Region

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to military magazines of the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or publications that have no connection to the law enforcement.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real Carabinieri – just dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you’ve been targeted by someone who,
