Carabinieri Impersonators Target Garda Hoteliers with Fraudulent Calls

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering magazine subscriptions from the forces.

These are not military personnel but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or the Municipality police.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines unrelated to law enforcement.
