Carabinieri Scam Alert: Beware Fake Calls Selling Military Magazine Subscriptions

Pretending to be Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not soldiers, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Comune police.

Recognizing the scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines unrelated to law enforcement.
