Carabinieri Warn Against Scammers Targeting Garda Hoteliers and Shops

Pretending to be Carabinieri, scammers call hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to army-related magazines.

These are not military personnel but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, firefighters, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, stay alert and immediately notify the real Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect being targeted by someone who,

has money, and then disappears.
