Castiglione Unveils Major Exhibition Showcasing Over 50 Works by Pietro Beschi
Castiglione delle Stiviere opens a new exhibition dedicated to artist Pietro Beschi on March 21, 2026, at Palazzo Menghini. The monographic show, titled “The Garden of Memory,” features sculptures, drawings, paintings, and mosaics by Beschi and will be open free of charge until June 28, 2026.
Beschi, a native of the city born in 1907, was a sculptor, painter, mosaicist, and teacher whose work reflects a deep connection to local tradition and realism. The exhibition highlights his artistic evolution from the 1930s to the 1960s, including notable pieces like the reinterpretation of the Fontana di via Gridonia, and works inspired by Arturo Toscanini and themes of memory and human resilience. Curated by Gianfranco Ferlisi, the exhibit aims to deepen understanding of Beschi’s contribution to regional cultural heritage.
