Cavaion Veronese Sees Positive Results From Summer Concerts

The “Agosto a Cavaion 2026 – Fra Musica e Storia” concert series has wrapped up with a broadly positive outcome, delivering four evenings across different venues in Cavaion Veronese under the artistic direction of maestro Stefano Maffizzoni. Organized by Pro Loco San Michele, the programme drew consistently large and attentive audiences by blending classical repertoire with crossover sounds and the tradition of Italian song.

The tour opened on 6 August at Villa Trabucchi with the Flûte Quartett’s tribute to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, featuring performances of four flute-and-string quartets. On 13 August, Fuscogang brought “The Unconventional Italian Music Show” to the Teatro Arena Torcolo, mixing swing, rock ’n’ roll and Italian classics; the event also coincided with a charity evening for AMO Garda Baldo. On 20 August, bad weather moved the show from Villa Cordevigo to the indoor sports hall, where “From Baroque to Rock” highlighted violinist Davide De Ascaniis and pianist-singer Alessandro Fiorentin, taking the audience from Tartini and Paganini to Queen and film music. The series concluded on 27 August at the Zenere-Visconti courtyard in Sega with Movietrio’s Mina tribute, starring trumpet player Fabiano Maniero, vocalist Laura Pirri and guitarist Alessandro Modenese.

In remarks, Mayor Sabrina Tramonte thanked the Pro Loco volunteers, the artistic direction and partners for supporting an event noted for both musical quality and variety, while Pro Loco president Franco Lonardi also highlighted Maffizzoni’s role in shaping a programme that balanced musical rigor with broad public appeal. Sponsors and the private homeowners who opened their residences to the public were also credited, and the next edition is already planned for summer 2027.
