On July 26, 2025, the International Archaeological Cinema Festival will take place in Cavriana, an event that promises to connect the audience with ancient cultures and stories through a series of screenings. The event, organized by the Archaeological Museum of Alto Mantovano in collaboration with PetraFILM, will be held at Piazza Castello n. 5, featuring screenings both in the afternoon, starting at 4 PM, and in the evening from 8:30 PM. Nine short films directed by filmmakers such as Federico Basso and Niccolò Bongiorno will be showcased, and they will actively participate in the event.
Moreover, the festival will be dedicated to the memory of Giuseppe Orefici, a renowned archaeologist from Brescia who recently passed away. During the intermission of the screenings, attendees will have the opportunity to taste local products, and at 11 PM, there will be a meeting with the directors, culminating in the awarding of the audience’s favorite film. Admission is free, making this event accessible to all cinema and archaeological culture enthusiasts.
