Cavriana is preparing to host the **International Archaeological Cinema Review 2025**, a cultural event taking place on Saturday, July 26, in Piazza Castello. Organized by the Archaeological Museum of Alto Mantovano and PetraFILM, the event will feature a rich program of screenings dedicated to distant cultures and stories that resonate emotionally. The screenings will begin in the afternoon at 4 PM and continue into the evening, showcasing a total of nine works by renowned directors such as Federico Basso and Niccolò Bongiorno. Admission is free, and during the intermission, attendees will have the opportunity to taste local specialty products.
This edition of the festival is dedicated to **Giuseppe Orefici**, a distinguished archaeologist from Brescia who recently passed away and to whom director Petra Paola Lucini was particularly close. Among the films scheduled for screening is “Labyrinths in the Sand,” which depicts the excavations carried out by Orefici in Peru. Viewers will have the chance to interact with the directors during a meeting set for 11 PM, where the audience’s favorite film will also be awarded.
