The mountain festival at the Madonnina dei Sentieri will take place on Sunday, July 20, at Bocca di Caplone, located at an altitude of 1,745 meters, on the border between Brescia and Trento. This traditional event, which celebrates the statue of the Blessed Virgin consecrated in 1998 in memory of the missionary Father Faustino Cimarolli, brings together residents from the Brescia and Trento valleys each year. Participants can reach the festival site by hiking for about an hour from the village of Magasa.
The program includes a mass at 11 AM officiated by the Peruvian missionary Jesus Navarro, followed by the opening of the food stand at noon, where sandwiches, grilled sausages, and polenta cùsa will be served, along with the local cheese Tombea. It is recommended to bring extra food and drinks due to the unpredictable influx of visitors. The event is organized by the Pro loco of Magasa and Valvestino, and the proceeds will be donated to the Congregation of the Giuseppini Missionaries.
