CentoMiglia di Gargnano: Monotype Class Rankings and Sailing Clubs Across Lake Garda

The 76th CentoMiglia Internazionale del Garda, held in Gargnano on 5-6 September 2026, confirmed the strength of local one-design fleets and the value of an event organization spanning the entire lake. The regatta was organized by Circolo Vela Gargnano on behalf of the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV), with results across multiple classes shaping the overall standings.

In the Dolphin 81 class, Back in Black by Francesco Anselmi (Fraglia Vela Desenzano) won the combined ranking, ahead of Whisper by Andrea Taddei (Società Canottieri Garda Salò) and Joker by Umberto Grumelli (Fraglia Vela Desenzano). Asso 99 was won by Assterisco (Giorgio Zamboni, Circolo Vela Gargnano), while in the Protagonist category Gattone (Massimiliano Docali, Circolo Nautico Brenzone) finished level on points with Aquilotto (Paolo Di Lecce, Fraglia Vela Desenzano), taking first place on tiebreak. In ORC Classic, Airone Blu (Giorgio Castellani, LNI Garda) led with Rigoletto and OMOO among the top positions; in the multihulls, Poison took the Line Honours in the Multicento Trofeo Gargnano, and the Extreme 40 Sail Academy won the Gorla Trophy. The event involved clubs and local organizations along the route, including support during Saturday’s low-Garda stretch to ensure safe passage around a crowded area linked to the Air Show and the Tricolour Arrows, with coordination shifting to the upper lake on Sunday.

The opening featured FIV vice-president Giuseppe D’Amico and national councillor Domenico Foschini, alongside representatives from the XIV FIV Zone and the regatta committees handling technical and protest matters over two days with differing conditions. The edition was supported by the Municipality of Gargnano, local tourism and culture bodies, and sponsors including Fineco (main sponsor), Cantieri del Pardo, and the Consorzio Lago di Garda Lombardia, with additional backing from partners such as Acqua Tavina and Heineken/Wyler Vetta. The weekend also included public programming in Bogliaco, live coverage through official channels, and commentary by journalist Andrea Falcon, with videos and interviews available on the Circolo Vela Gargnano YouTube channel.
