An episode of street chaos occurred in Calcinato on the afternoon of Thursday, June 12, when a thirty-year-old man caused a disturbance by lifting and throwing manhole covers on Via Stazione. Alarmed by the situation, residents contacted the authorities, who responded with the carabinieri from the Desenzano Radiomobile. The man, already known to the authorities, reacted violently upon the arrival of the officers, attacking one and attempting to strike the second.
In light of the subject’s aggressive and uncontrolled behavior, the carabinieri had to use a taser to subdue him. After being restrained, the man was arrested and taken to the barracks, where he will face charges of resisting arrest and assaulting a public official.
