The gardesana Charlotte Baruzzi has been crowned Italian champion of Wingfoil during the Italian Absolute Championship held in Reggio Calabria from June 27 to 29. The event, organized by the Circolo Velico Reggio under the auspices of the Italian Sailing Federation, saw the participation of numerous athletes from across Italy and facilitated the completion of 21 races thanks to ideal weather conditions. Charlotte dominated the women’s standings, finishing ninth overall.
Throughout the three days of competition, Charlotte used a 5’6” Racer board, an Ypra Race 540 foil, and a 6.0 Pulse Race sail, expressing great satisfaction with her performance. “The feeling with my equipment was perfect: I had power and managed to make the most of it!” said the athlete, who won all the heats in her category. The event concluded with enthusiasm and recognition for the participants, further solidifying the prestige of Wingfoil in Italy.
