Chief Marshal Niccolo Genchi Takes Command of Sirmione Carabinieri Station

Chief Warrant Officer Niccolo Genchi has taken command of the Carabinieri Station in Sirmione, following a ceremony attended by Mayor Luisa Lavelli and Local Police Commander Mauro Fezzardi at the town hall. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation among local institutions to address public safety and legal compliance.

Genchi, who will lead the Carabinieri presence in the Garda municipality after more than 15 years of service, brings experience gained while commanding multiple stations in Lombardy. During the talks, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to a coordinated “network” approach involving the municipal administration, the Carabinieri and the Local Police, with shared attention to security, legality and overall quality of life. The mayor also highlighted that Genchi chose to live in Sirmione with his family, as a sign of closeness to residents.

“I extend my sincere welcome to Chief Warrant Officer Genchi and my best wishes for his work,” Lavelli said, adding that joint efforts will help make the community safer and more livable. Genchi stated that his priorities will be daily presence on the territory and direct proximity to the population, while Fezzardi reiterated full willingness to share information and expertise to respond effectively to local needs.
