Claudia Zamparelli Wins at Garda Festival; Highlights in Music and Awards

Claudia Zamparelli, fifteen years old from Bologna, is the winner of the sixth edition of the Festival del Garda, presented by the stunning Adriana Volpe.

Performers Section

In the performers section, the Emilian brunette brought a soul to l’ve nothing by Houston, ahead of Antonella Bacchini from Brescia (Non finisce mica il cielo by Martini). Slightly more distant was the, though talented, Siria Sbardolini from Brescia (Riguarda noi by Giorgia) and Morena Lusenti (My heart will go on by Dion) from Manerba del Garda.

Original Songs and Awards

In the original songs section, a clear success for Linda Ongarelli, seventeen years old from Pescantina (Vr), with Sabbia tra le dita, a piece written by her father Arturo.

Shared first place are the twins Barbara and Stefania Marogna, twenty-three from Buttapietra (Vr), with In the search for a mate. The award for the best original song heard during the twenty stops of the Cantalago was given by the jury chaired by Alberto Testa (Oscar-nominated in ’99 as a songwriter) to Veronica Marchi from Verona with her Linea 31.

During the evening held in Riva del Garda, in a Piazza 3 Novembre filled to capacity, the Miss Cantalago was also crowned.

The title went to Luana Jennifer Scalbensi, an eighteen-year-old from Desenzano del Garda. The winners were awarded by the provincial tourism councilor of Brescia Ermes Buffoli, the mayor of Riva Cesare Malossini, and the mayor of Cavaion, also acting as a representative of the Verona province, Giancarlo Sabaini.

Prizes and Recipients

The winner of the performers section received the “Lago d’oro”, a jewelry creation by the Zanetti brothers from Torri del Benaco, while the top scorer in the original songs category received a scholarship to the Accademia d’arte moderna dei Laghi di Stresa. The school is presided over by Dario Lagostina.
