Cleaning the Bottoms of Lake Garda: Success in Gardone Riviera

Cleaning the Bottoms of Lake Garda: Gardone Riviera Hosts a Successful Underwater Initiative. This morning, 65 divers gathered at the Gabriele d’Annunzio lakeside promenade to participate in a historic underwater cleanup operation, organized by Angelo Modina’s Deep Explorer. The event saw the participation of divers from various Italian locations, including Merano, Trento, Bergamo, and Mantova. During the initiative, Modina expressed gratitude to the Coast Guard for their support during the dives. The operational base was set up at Bar Riviera, while Bar Al Folle encouraged participants by offering prizes in craft beers for those who recovered the most unusual or bulky items. Among the debris found in the lake were a toilet, pieces of a boiler, metal grates, old bottles, and bar stools. These materials will be on display until tomorrow with the aim of raising awareness among school groups about recycling and the importance of preserving the lake’s environment. Italian Version
