Closure of SP 38 in Tremosine: weather alert and road safety
Due to a weather alert, SP 38 “Strada della Forra” in Tremosine has been closed as a precautionary measure since 2 PM today, August 28. The decision was made by the Province of Brescia after a careful assessment of the weather conditions, which have resulted in heavy rainfall and a potential risk of rockfalls. The issued ordinance prohibits traffic along the road until the emergency is resolved, aiming to ensure the safety of users.
Despite the closure, data from continuous monitoring do not indicate any significant movements of the cliff in recent weeks. At the end of the emergency, technicians and geologists will conduct inspections to assess the stability of the rock face before authorizing the reopening of SP 38. Additionally, it is noted that SP 88 in Paspardo has also been closed since last night, and attention remains high on SP 6, which is currently passable but equipped with traffic lights to manage any potential hydrogeological hazards.
