Community Collaboration Launches Social Support Project in Cornuda

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the day beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ^’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of the ^’ initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the categories most in need.

Transportation services, social transportation, listening centers, and gathering points will also be strengthened.
